For children over the age of 16 who are in education in Switzerland, a school certificate, a certificate of enrollment (confirmation of enrollment), or a copy of the apprenticeship contract must be enclosed. Foreign nationals must submit a confirmation of residence for their children. For children residing or in education abroad, please refer to the information sheet. Only one allowance can be claimed per child, even if both parents are employed. The children's social security numbers can be found on their health insurance cards.
